ANDRÉ UERBA – Burn Time

Teatro das Figuras, Faro / Thu 24 OCT 21h30

PERFORMANCE-INSTALLATION / 60' / M6 / 5€ - BUY / Single ticket 2 shows: Burn Time by André Uerba + Storm Atlas by Dewey Dell

Burn Time is a performance and an ephemeral installation where the choreography unfolds from the gesture of burning threads. On the borders of sculpture and architecture and thought as a site-specific piece, this creation is a tour through a meditative landscape, a decelerating landscape.

The space is dark and defined by an installation of hanging cotton threads. Gradually – one after the other and sometimes several at the same time – threads will be set alight, creating a slow-motion space of incessant changing and fading.

Everything is reduced to a quiet and profound pace.
In a time of ongoing existential and distracting wars between being in the present and future projections, Burn Time is a sort of obligation to acknowledge the moment and to indulge into the here and now.
