Hip-Hop is a complex and sophisticated cultural movement born in the 1960s. Officially, it contains almost a dozen elements, the best known of them the DJ, Graffiti, Breakdance (B-Girl and B-Boy), and the MC (Master of Ceremonies/rapper).
This masterclass invites a group of young people to come to explore and take part in the Hip-Hop cultural experience, namely Rap, by working on rhythm (using the body as percussion and beat instrument, mediated by wordplay) and by sharing writing techniques used by MCs/ rappers in song lyrics and Freestyling; and with an open mic for anyone who is willing to take on the challenge.
