Concert / M12

Two people in front of your eyes, yet a transoceanic orchestra in your ears.

ZA! is Eduard Pou e Pau Rodríguez, an experimental multi-instrumental duo where improvisation plays a very prominent role.
Their music combines african beats, noise, thick distortions, electronics, vocal loops, free jazz, balinese polyryhtms, math rock, dadaism, drones and a high percentage of the result left to complete on stage, every night.
They have played more than 400 shows, almost all over the world at major international festivals of independent music, sharing stage either with noise bands, rock bands or free jazz artists.
They have performed improvised and unique shows along with Damo Suzuki (Can), Lydia Lunch, Pony Bravo, or Mishima (among many others), working also in multidisciplinary projects in the area of theatre, architecture and video.
Pau & Edu also teach improvisation workshops to musicians of all skills & levels that have been taught and performed live with students in Berlin, Melbourne, Barcelona, Açores, Canary Islands, etc.

The first part of this night includes a concert by ZA! with local musicians, part of the Conducted Musical Improvisation workshop that they will conduct in Lagos.
